The SDA supports the efforts of the Scottish Government to meet UK, European and Global obligations to achieve a significant cut in carbon emissions by the year 2050 and to meet 20 percent of energy consumption from alternative resources by the year 2020.  We are firmly against the current trend for highly-subsidised commercial wind farms. The SDA seeks to move Scotland’s ‘carbon footprint’ on the world towards the lightest that it can possibly be.
